He was predeceased by: his siblings, José and Carma. He is survived by: his wife Maria Eunice Silva; his sons, José and Manuel; his grandchildren, Andrew, Chloë, Mark, Colin and Madison Silva; and his siblings, Maria, Anjos, Fatima, Belem and João.
Fixing broken things was his passion, so he never stopped working, and after retirement continued to repair things at his home, and worked on electrical systems, HVAC, machine repair/replacement, plumbing, and even some carpentry, for the Westchester Evening Dinner Theater, up until they closed in 2020 due to COVID.
