She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonse Lewis and Ann Lewis (McNally); her niece Laura Lewis; and her brothers-in-law, Tom Cook and Dennis Pendergast.
She is survived by: her husband David Pendergast; her nephew Jason Lazore; her children, Scott Strilka (Alicia) of Concord, N. C, Matthew Strilka (Asja) of Utica, Brian Strilka of Utica and Amy Strilka of Kirkland; her stepdaughters, Sarah Bramer (Joel), Kathleen Meredith (Johnathan) and Joanne Gravelle (Josh); her siblings, Elizabeth Schweizer (Fred) of New Hartford, Patty Lindeman (George) of Washington State, Bob Lewis (Anne) of Liverpool and Nancy Cook of Ilion; her sister-in-law Iris Pendergast of Bangor, Ireland.; her close friend Sadie; and her niece Tracy Lazore. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Donations in Maureen's honor can be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, 6390 Pine Grove Road, Glenfield, N.Y.13343, where Sadie was adopted by Maureen and David to be her loyal companion 10 years ago.
