With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene J Merrell of Westmoreland, New York, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on March 6, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene and Anna Merrell, Sr. (Swartout); his sister Patricia Ranney; and his parents-in-law, Donald and Marion Hoffmeister.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra J. Hoffmeister; his son Donald R.; his daughter-in-law Kathi Merrell of Westmoreland; his daughter Kelly; his son-in-law Ted Flint of Westmoreland; his grandchildren, Don, Jessica Merrell, Sarah, Rick Rados, Chelsea, Vinny Vullo, Theodore, Brooke Flint, Tessa Merrell and Olivia Merrell; his great grandchildren, Lily, Cooper Merrell, Kelcy, Lucy Rados, Adeline, Ivy, Turner Flint, Sophia and Angelo Vullo; and his brother John (Lynn Merrell). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
