She was predeceased by: her father Wenceslao Zapata. She is survived by: her mother Dolores Zapata (Flores) of Denver, CO; her husband Louis J. Szewczyk; her children, Marcella Velasquez and Louis Szewczyk (Ashley Shanley); and her mother-in-law Janice Szewczyk of Oriskany Falls, NY. She is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
