He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Canter and Diane Canter (Gee); his wife Maribeth Canter of Westmoreland; his children, William Canter, Charles Canter of Herkimer and Jennifer Canter of Watertown; his siblings, Kathleen Ognbene (Peter) of Alexandria, VA, Diane Hotaling (Steven) of Ashburn, VA., Anne Bastian (Tom) of Jacksonville, FL., Timothy Canter (Jana) of Sayville, NY, Melissa Gauger (Michael) of Penfield, NY and Matthew Canter (Tanya) of Whitesboro; his parents-in-law, Maureen Scarlino (David) of New Hartford, Michael Dooley of Whitesboro, Shawn Dooley (Michelle) of Herkimer and Marie E. Dooley of New York Mills; his siblings, Mary Agnes Canter and Frank Canter; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen and Kenneth Kunkel. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
