It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Halas of Westfield, New York, born in Dunkirk, New York, who passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Halas. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his daughters, Cori Boogaard of Nederland, CO, Jennifer DeHaven (Michael) of Cedar Park, TX and Julie Simco (John Allen) of North Huntingdon, PA; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Orred (Cayden), Jordan Ellis, Kristen DeHaven, Karissa DeHaven and Aliyah.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in his name be made to the Westfield Community Food Pantry, 101 E. Main Street, Westfield, NY, as his legacy continues to serve the community he loved so much.
