Rose left this world on January 9, 2025 at the age of 104, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Anthony P. Messina; her children, Philip A. (Karen), Richard J. (Margo) and Anita M. Sheahan (John); her grandchildren, Renee Messina Santiago, Nicole C. Binder (John), James A. (Melissa), James R., Anthony R. (Sara), Carly R. Sheahan and Matthew J. Sheahan; and her great grandchildren, Juliet, Angelina, James Jr., Rowan and Charlotte.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Donohue Cecere Funeral Directors (290 Post Ave, Westbury, NY 11590). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Brigid's R. C. Church (50 Post Ave, Westbury, NY 11590).
