He was predeceased by: his brother Ramon Moran (Maria Concepcion); and his mother Alejandra Nieto of Moran. He is survived by: his nephew Jose Luis Moran; his daughters, Cristina (Jose), Alejandra (James), Maria, Elizabeth (Carl) and Patricia (David); his grandchildren, Leo, Cristian, Mario, Paulo, Wendy, Aaron, Noah, Austin and Victoria (Tori); his great grandchild Itzel; his siblings, Jose Merced Moran (Pepe), Trinidad Guadalupe, Ana Carlos, Maria Del Refugio, Carlos Jose Merced and Roberto; and his father Jose Merced Moran Rubio. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and God children.
