She was predeceased by: her husband Donald J Smith; her close friend Jack Walsh; and her child Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Theresa, Linda, Timothy and James; and her grandchildren, Timothy, Rebecca, Jillian and Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
