As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Irene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard Schmitt; her children, Lisa Lundy (Daniel), Linda Schmitt (Jim Gibson) and Richard Schmitt (Carmela); and her grandchildren, Sean Kirwin, Zachary Lundy, Aundrea Kirwin and Jacob Lundy. She was also cherished by loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fourteen Holy Helpers Church (1345 Indian Church Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224).
