Earl E. Light Jr. Obituary
Earl E. Light, Jr., 71, of West Park, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at HealthAlliance Hospital - Broadway Campus in Kingston. He was born on October 23, 1950 in Kingston, son of the late Earl E. Light, Sr. and Geraldine (Marveggi) Light. Earl was married to his loving wife of 51 years, Linda L. (Guido) Light, they wed in 1971.
He was a graduate of Highland High School. Earl worked for IBM before working at Cardinal Health and then finally working at Anderson School for Autism where he retired and enjoyed working with the students. He was a member of the Town of Esopus Gun Club.
Earl was an avid outdoorsman; he exceled at hunting for multiple different game species as well as fishing. He enjoyed metal detecting, collecting antiques, gardening, and visiting the casinos. His favorite sports teams included the NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers. Earl had a happy-go-lucky attitude and had a good sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Light of West Park, his daughter, Dayle Light of Kingston, his son, Kevin Light of West Park, his grandchildren, Tyler Nace and Hayley Nace, both of Kingston, as well as two nieces. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Light.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466 where family and friends may visit on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm with the funeral service taking place at 6pm.
