She was predeceased by: her parents, John McDermott and Bridget McDermott. She is survived by: her husband James; her siblings, Alice Curley (Jeannie), Thomas McDermott and John McDermott (Valerie) of Valley Cottage, NY; her children, Mary Beth Pocalyko (Nick) of Longmont, CO, James (Jessica) of Sugar Loaf, NY, Janet Grossbauer (Matthew) of New City, NY and Sean (Christine) of West Nyack, NY.; her grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, Jason, Ryan, Patrick, Kaitlin, Matthew, Shaelynn and Tara; and her great grandchild Ellie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service (321 S Main St, New City, NY 10956). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Shrine Church (36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954).
