With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Palumbo (West Nyack, New York), born in Bronx, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolina Palumbo and Peter Palumbo. He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, Sandra, Carol and John Jr.; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Christina (Jarred), Diana (Robert), Jennifer (James) and Stephanie (Luigi). He is also survived by his seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home (728 W Nyack Rd, West Nyack, NY 10994). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Shrine Church (36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954). A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Anthony's Cemetery (36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954).
