She was predeceased by: her parents, Natalie Custer and Jack Custer; and her sister Victoria Slater. She is survived by: her significant other Uriel J. Goldsmith; her daughters, Monica Colvin of Orangeburg, NY and Toby Goldsmith (Robert Mandelbaum) of Atlanta, GA.; her grandchildren, Kimberly Bloodgood (Jon), Travis Colvin (Ashley), Reid Shapira and Sam Shapira; her sister Carol Kanthal (Michael); her brother-in-law Peter Slater; and her friend Marlene Seeliger (Michael).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Barbara's name.
