He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur West and Lillian West (Delgado); his son-in-law Gary Abrams; and his brother Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine L. West; his children, Jerard A. West (Kristy), Mary Ellen Abrams, James A. West, Jr. (Dawn) and John A. West (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Jared, Arthur, Anna, John, Nicholas, Andrew, Emily and James.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home (406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901). A Mass was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church - Riverhead (546 St Johns Pl, Riverhead, NY 11901).
