Elizabeth DeRosa Obituary

Elizabeth Ann DeRosa (née Fritz), 81, Middle Island, NY on December 21, 2023.

Born on June 17, 1942, in Mt Calvary, Wisconsin to Anthony and Rose Fritz. She is predeceased by siblings Connie and Mary, and survived by brother Joe and many nieces and nephews.

Happily married for 57 years to Charles "Ron" DeRosa III (deceased).

Loving mother of Anthony (Joan), Karen Yager (Robert), and Michael (Elizabeth). Proud grandmother of Kimberly, Ryan, Joseph, Julianna, Christina and Alexander.

Her life was centered around her family, and she was a friend to all. She worked as a typesetter for a local town newspaper. She and Ron raised their family in Smithtown before relocating to live out their years in Middle Island, where they forged many friendships and participated in activities that the community had to offer. She attended all of her grandchildren's special moments, to include baptism, first communion, school graduations, and sporting events.

She was fond of crocheting blankets for her family and for charitable organizations, gardening, cooking and baking.
