He is survived by: his wife Valerie Konopa; his son Kenneth Konopa; his daughter-in-law Allyson Konopa; his daughter Kristin Konopa; his grandchildren, Kaya, Bruce, Koa, Jacob, Lola, Ruth and Hannah; his brother Robert Konopa; and his nephew Jason Konopa.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to help create a memorial scholarship in his name, at West Babylon Senior High School.
