Ann Scuderi Obituary
With profound sorrow, we announce the departure of Ann Scuderi (née Ferrara), aged 97, of West Islip, New York, who was called to her heavenly rest on April 10, 2024.
Born into this world on November 30, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, Ann walked through life with modesty and unwavering devotion. As a steward of education, she tenderly cultivated the minds and hearts of children during her honored tenure as an Elementary School teacher, following her collegiate matriculation from Mary Manse College.
Ann's life was a living testament to her deep respect for nature and God's creations, as evidenced by the countless hours she spent in her garden, nurturing the soil and plants with the same love and dedication she gave to her family and community. Her devout faith and service were faithfully rendered at St. Joseph Church, where she practiced her beliefs with grace and reverence.
She now leaves behind her husband of 72 years, Anthony Scuderi, her children, Steven (Susan), Anthony (Tori), and Maria Scuderi, her six grandchildren Christopher (Allison), Stephen (Christine), Amanda, Michael, John, and Kelly, and two great-grandchildren Ellia and Nolan.
Ann steps forward into the Kingdom of Heaven, rejoining her parents Salvatore and Crocetta (Filingeri) Ferrara, and two sisters Rose Barone and Lucy Pinciotti, who preceded her in passing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the wake at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be solemnly celebrated in her honor at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Babylon, NY on Monday, April 15th at 9:30 am with interment to follow.
Chapey & Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements, and we extend an invitation to join in commemorating a life marked by faith, love, and a gentle spirit. May Ann Scuderi rest in eternal peace and may her memory be forever cherished.
