“My deepest sympathies. I knew Steven in college in New Paltz and we renewed our friendship shortly before his passing. At my last visit he was kind to have some old friends over for dinner. I was saddened when he brought me to the airport and said he didn’t want to see me again. It was a very strange ending to a lovely week. I’m sorry that I respected his not wanting to see me again. I so wanted to ask him why he felt it was necessary to end our relationship. May his memory be a blessing. Abby”
