He was predeceased by: his parents, Nilo Castro Basa, Sr. and Elisa Villaflor Atañgan Basa (Erlinda Basa Cirineo). He is survived by: his children, Maita (Gerard), Mayette, Mylee Dondiz (Leo) and Joel Basa (Lori); his grandchildren, Krista, Jonathan, Elisa, Alexandra and Christian; and his siblings, Delia Basa Lim, Danilo A. Basa, Leonilo A. Basa, Petronilo A. Basa, Nilo A. Basa, Jr. and Rosanna A. Basa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
