It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter E. Mooney of West Chazy, New York, born in Beekmantown, New York, who passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mooney and Stella Mooney (Hayes); his daughter Dolores "Dodie" Mooney; and his siblings, Arnold, Thelma, Wallace, Harold, Lester, Ella, Charlie, Betty, Ross, Alice and Eunice.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Mooney (Hendrix); his children, Alan Mooney (Kathleen Rushford), Cathy McCann and Penny Dumas (Andrew "Opie"); his grandchildren, Dani Mooney, Morgan Bushey (Dustin), Chelsea Mooney and Michelle Rushford; his sister Dorothy Gorman (Russell Poole); and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Mooney and Sheila O'Banion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Plattsburgh United Methodist Church.
