He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond and Beatrice; his wife Leita; his children, Alan and Sheila; his brother Wendell; and his son-in-law Jim Hurd.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher, Sharon (Tony Garrow), Hugh LaMoy, Shelly (Thomas Maliniak), Cassandra (Calvin Hewson), Chris (Diane LaPier) and Dana (Katrina LaPier); his grandchildren, Jason, Heather (Eric Brothers), Michelle (Edward Galka) and Jennifer; his great grandchildren, Kai and Chloe; his great great grandchildren, Theodore and Canaan; and his siblings, Elwood LaPier, Carol LaPier, Henry Gooley, Beverly Gooley, Donna Filion, Wayne LaPier, Gerald Jabaut and Arlene Jabaut.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
