He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Winterbottom and Helen M. Winterbottom (Marlin); his brother Dale Winterbottom; and his nephew Gregory Winterbottom. He is survived by: his wife Saundra (Seymour); his sons, Gordon Jr. of West Chazy, NY., Gary (Patty) of West Chazy, NY. and Glen Winterbottom (Julie) of West Chazy, NY.; his grandchildren, Kenneth Winterbottom (Jennifer) of Greer, SC, Christopher Winterbottom of Plattsburgh, NY, Elisa LaFave (Timothy) of Plattsburgh, NY, Sarah Bell (Eric) of Plattsburgh, NY, Olivia Winterbottom (Donovan) of Plattsburgh, NY and Jessica Davis of Florida; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Alyssa, Zeno, Gunner, Callen, Cassidy, Elizabeth, Collin, Abby and Xander; his siblings, Roy Winterbottom (Lana) of Bradenton, FL, Donna Cross (Robert) of Mineville, NY and Dorothy LaBossiere (Richard) of West Chazy; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Seymour (Diane) of Plattsburgh, Betty Burl (Dana) and Nancy Seymour of Plattsburgh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, the family will celebrate with a private Service.
