He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie McLoughlin (Quinn) and Vincent McLoughlin; and his brothers, U. S. Navy, Vincent Q. McLoughlin and Miles J. McLoughlin.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth McLoughlin (Carlsen); his children, Elizabeth (Arthur) and Michael (Maegan); his granddaughters, Catherine and Natalie; and his siblings, Jean Jamate of Staten Island and Jack McLoughlin of Brooklyn.
