“Just realized Dr. Opell passed, my deepest condolences to his grand family, whom I knew through him. Dr. Opell was my employer at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and later became my doctor as well as my husband's. He was truly a caring doctor with the best bedside manner. My husband and I always remember him with such kindness and we often spoke of him, till this day. Again, one of the best professionals I've ever met. May he Rest In Peace and may his family be blessed.”

“Thomas Vitola My Deepest condolences to Alice his wife and all his sons and especially his son Bart who usually called during my appointment with Dr Opell, he was not only my Dr but a dear friend who I always called dad, I was referred to Doc by my uncle Ralph who was his patient. I was thirty years old when I told Doc the experience I had with another Urologist he knew the Dr and asked how many test he did on me. The rest is history he has been my DR friend and step dad for 35 years I loved him”

“Dr. Opell was mine and my Dad's urologist since I was a child, and I was still seeing him up until he retired, as was Dad. I have never had a doctor that was as caring and friendly as he was. He had a great sense of humor and could talk to me about almost anything that bothered me, and always gave us all of his attention, never rushing, being very thorough. He would even call to make sure I was ok after sessions. He was a great doctor and I'll never forget him. Condolences to his family.”
