She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph O'Brien and Rose O'Brien (Burrows); her former husband Richard "Dick" Whitesell; her husband Ron Nye; her sons, Ronald Nye Jr. of Wellsville and Thomas Nye (Jill) of Wellsville; her stepsons, Richard Whitesell (Kathy) of Wellsville, Steven Whitesell (Doris) of Florida and Paul Whitesell of Florida; her grandsons, Jacob and Brandon; and her brother Joe O'Brien (Mary) of Olean.

Citing Covid concerns, the funeral will be private.
