Kathryn (Kitty) Cretekos Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn (Kitty) Cretekos of Wellsville, New York, born in Milford, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 18, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Makris and Helen Makris (Costakas) of Providence, R. I.; her husbands, Steven Cretekos and Easter; her sister Tina; her siblings-in-law, Jack, James, Constantine "Gus" Cretekos and Katherine Toporas; and her friend Elizabeth Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Stephanie of Leland, N. C., George (Barbara) of Wellsville and Peter (Mary) of Poughquag, NY.; her grandchildren, Alexis Casteborn (Mans) of Lund, Sweden, Ellen Sulcs (Peter) of Seattle, WA and Elizabeth Widtfeldt (Dan) of Dallas, TX.; her great grandchildren, Axel, Ebba Casteborn and Joanna Widfeldt; and her friend Kevin Harris. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kitty was not only generous in her love but charitable in her heart and would wish any donations be made locally to support the Hart Comfort House, David A. Howe Public Library or Jones Memorial Hospital.
