He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Henry; his grandchildren, Madilyn Grace Coats and Wesley Coats; his grandmother Florence Sherwood; and his mother-in-law Eleanor Coats.
He is survived by: his mother Margaret J. Morissette (Sherwood); his wife Lori Acker; his sons, Dane T. Coats (Xandra) and Darrin T. Coats (Coreen); his grandchildren, Nola Turner, Levi Coats, Havyn Coats, Mikaela Miller, Trayvin Coats, Xavian Coats, Jack Coats, Rose Coats, Darrin Coats Jr., Tobin Coats, Liam Coats, Nicolas Coats, Anna Marie Mumper and Christopher Hall; his brother Jason Acker; and his brother-in-law Dan Coats. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
