She was predeceased by: her parents, August Herman and Catherine Herman (Arnold); her spouse Karlton Brandes; and her siblings, Bruce, James Herman and Janet Herman Lang.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Morgan, Cassidy, Hannah, Abigail, Ava, Emily, Evelyn, Teagin and Tiernee Brandes; and her great grandchild Alice.
