She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sheffer and Sara Sheffer (Elbertson). She is survived by: her husband John Detrick of Bentley Creek; her sons, Lawrence "Larry" (Laura Detrick) and David (Melissa Detrick); her grandchildren, Matthew Detrick, Sarah Detrick and Cody Detrick; and her sister Ruth. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
