He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Detrick and Alice Detrick; and his wife Rachel Ann Detrick (Sheffer). He is survived by: his sons, Lawrence J. Detrick, Jr. (Laura) of Ridgebury and David Detrick (Melissa) of Bowmansville, PA; his grandchildren, Matthew Detrick, Sarah Detrick, Cody Detrick (Emily) and Chelsie Vanderpool (Josh); his siblings, James Edward Detrick of Williamsport, PA, Nelson Cook of Waverly, NY and Ruth; and his brother-in-law David Ballinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in John's honor to the Berrytown Wesleyan Church, 178 Burt Road, Gillett, PA 16925.
