He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Holmes and Mildred Mead Holmes; and his sister Judie Spear. He is survived by: his wife Virginia LaVere Holmes; his children, Gina Cook (Tom), Debbie VanNorstrand Ronald (Wayne), James Holmes (Diane) and Nikki Pollock (Rod); his grandchildren, Misty, Tom, Rachel, Kayla, Tyler, Jade, Tucker, Lilli, Bryce and Brent; and his sisters, Millie Pilat (Tom) and Joanne Barber (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cato American Legion (2558 Legion St, Cato, NY 13033).
