He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Dominic and Jean Scala; and his cousin Jimmy Scala. He is survived by: his parents, Michael Scala and Kathleen Nellenback Joseph (Nellenback); his siblings, Megan Reeves (Robert), Joseph Adams, Kristen Scala and Eva Joseph; his niece Millie Reeves; his grandparents, Michael and Gail Nellenback; his great-grandparent Gerry Simonsen; his godchild Morgan Bonner; his stepparents, Timothy Joseph and Barb Scala; and his close friends, Mike Bonner and Dan Secrist. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
