He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pierce and Ruth Pierce (Pilling); his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Pierce; his son Kevin Pierce; and his siblings, Mark Taro and Sandy Barry.
He is survived by: his children, Jodie Pierce, Terry Kent (Gary Kent), Tina Watkins (Jim Fulks) and John Pierce; his siblings, Guy Taro (Mary Lou Taro), Robert Pierce (Steve Subera), Gail Wiltse (Mel Wiltse) and Carol Beachle (Alan Baechle); and his friends, Mike Calkins and Carol Perkins.
