We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2023, at the age of 72, James L. Chayka of Weedsport, New York, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Chayka and Betty Stump Chayka. He is survived by: his sons, Jim Chayka (Laura Barron) and Doug Chayka (Nicola Behrmann) of Germany; his siblings, Paul Chayka (Marguerite), Marty Chayka (Suzy), David Chayka (Cindy) of Syracuse, Mary Beth Gross (Francis) of Weedsport, Becky Barrett and Claire Fischer (Jim) of Canandaigua; his grandsons, Levi, Emil and Emmett; and his close friend Penny Williams of Weedsport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
