Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Simon and Gwendolyn Simon; her brother Robert Simon; and her former husband William J. Christensen. She is survived by: her husband John; and her children, Nancy Miller (Stephen E.), Thomas Christensen (Joann), Doris (James) of Maine, Deborah Lake and Carol Ward (David). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
