He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gilhool and Catherine Gilhool; and his siblings, John, Frank, Paul, Bill, Harold, Ann Howe and Jeanne Vosefski.

He is survived by: his wife Joann; his children, Jeff Gilhool (Jill), Deborah Higgins (Joe) and Timothy Gilhool (Tori); his grandchildren, Bridgit, Trevor Higgins, Conner, Finn Gilhool, Ian, Markus and Lexi Branton Gilhool; and his sisters, Mary Vosefski, Florence McCarty and Grace Bognatz (Don).

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd. P.O. Box 665, Mendon, NY 14506 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
