He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Michael Sheedy and Kathleen Sheedy; and his sisters, Carol Grier and Claire Thurston.
He is survived by: his sons, John (Diana), Kenneth and Michael (Lisa); his grandchildren, Brian Dilcher (Kelsey), Sara Whited (Matthew), Michael, Sam, Kevin and Emily; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Bennett and Joseph; his brother Michael B. Sheedy; and his sister-in-law Shirley Flockerzi (Many). He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and friends.
