With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John A. Maines of Webster, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Maines and Elsie Maines; and his in-laws, Samuel and Josephine Scrofano. He is survived by: his wife Marianne; his children, Lauren Ramich (Dan), Matthew Maines (Rhonda), Mark Maines (Marion) and John I. Maines (Stephanie); his brother Fred Maines (Maryann); his siblings-in-law, Glen and Beverly Van Derzee; his grandchildren, Tyler, Justin, Cameron, Drew, Zach, Aiden, Julia, Dominic Maines, John and Daniel Ramich; his nieces and nephews, Jeff Van Derzee (Heather), Jennifer Perelstein (Brian) and Glen Jr. Van Derzee (Shelly); and his cousin Shelly Masceri (Greg).
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home (12 South Ave, Webster, NY 14580).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in John A. Maines' memory.
