She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Beckwith Hofmann and Theodore Hofmann; her husband Irving Francis Short; her son Theodore "Ted"; and her daughter-in-law Carolyn.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Short and Lorilyn Mastowski (Jack); her daughter-in-law Nancy Short; her grandchildren, Timothy (Jennifer), Peter Short, Heather LaFond (Marc), Noelle Short, Scott and Matthew Mastowski; and her stepbrother Theodore Hofmann (June). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; many special adopted extended family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Donations in Jean's memory can be made to the Webster Union Cemetery or the Rochester Regional Palliative Care and Hospice Department.
