She is survived by: her children, Shelby Stivers (Evan Urquhart) and John Stivers (Jennifer); her grandchild Christian John; her brothers, Thomas Scalzo (Laurie) and John Scalzo (Teresa); her close friend Terrence Thomas; her nephews, Ryan Scalzo (Amanda), Stephen Scalzo (Melania) and Dominic Scalzo (Mica); and her great-niece Savannah Scalzo.

Catherine fought a courageous battle against early-onset Alzheimer's for many years.
