He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Bill and Jennie Bill (Wheaton); his children, Ellon Canale (Michael) of James, Bill, Jr. and Jo Ann Bill (Bryan Grenn); his wife Barbara; his close friend Delia "Dee" Beyea; his grandchildren, Erin Agan (Jeff), Megan Glor (Matt), Jody Bill, Jessica Flynn (Ryan), Jamie Pacanowski (Kevin) and Quinn Bill-Grenn; his great grandchildren, Colin, Chloe Agan, Rosalie, Jacqueline Glor, Cecilia and Jordan Pacanowski; and his brother Charles Bill (Kathy). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the VA Medical Center, 76 Veterans Avenue, Bath NY 14810 in memory of James A. Bill, Sr.
