He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Benson and Gertrude Benson (Moss). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Benson (Frankel); and his children, Brenda Horvath, Robert Benson, Jr., Stewart Benson and Jenny Babcock. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
