Tomasso of Waverly, New York, born in Sayre, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on August 21, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lyons and Helen Yuska Lyons; her husband Louis Joseph Tomasso of Tomasso's Restaurant; and her brother James Lyons. She is survived by: her children, Jodi Scott, LuEllen Hoyt (Alan), Joseph Tomasso (Gwen) and Jacqueline Picco (Joseph); her grandchildren, Kacie Hoyt, Alexandra, Sidney, Joseph Tomasso, Capria, Gianna and Gabriella Picco; and her sister Barbara Bennett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

The family suggests that contributions be directed to a charity of one's choice in memory of Rita J. Tomasso.
