She was predeceased by: her parents, James Simpson and Arvilla Benson Simpson; and her brother James Gardner. She is survived by: her children, Hope (Keith, Jr.), Jesse, Patrick, Sylvia, Crystal (William, Sr.), Lynette, Rodney Jr. (Alice), Stephanie (James), Chianne, Katrina (Damien) and Ricki; and her siblings, David Simpson, Evelyn Carl, Clayton Simpson, Ronald Simpson and Calvin Simpson. She is also survived by her 34 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
