He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper R. McGruder and Eunice Brown McGruder Sr.; his wife Anastacia Pastrikos McGruder; his siblings, Phyllis Chase, Beth McGruder, Charles, Roger and Stephen McGruder; his son Michael Lerche; and also Eunice.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Lerche (Cindy) of Waverly and Rosemary Lerche of Waverly; his siblings, Martha Dellinger (Steve) of Redwood City, CA, Joann Goldbas of Ithaca, LaBerta McGruder of Ithaca, Carol McGruder of Waverly, Sharon Best (Ronald) of Ithaca, Jasper McGruder (Sharon) and James McGruder (David) of Elmira; his grandchildren, Joshua Lerche of Waverly, Anna Runyon (Kenneth) of Waverly, Christopher Lerche of Waverly and Jonathan M. Lerche of Horseheads; and his great grandchildren, Victoria Grimes, Brianna Runyon, Kendra Runyon, Lauren Clayborn (Shaheed), Nathan Lerche and Nicholas Luciano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
