It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Thomas Berry Jr. of Waverly, New York, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl T. Berry Sr. and Amanda Leona Solt; his former wife Sandra Lewis Berry; his siblings-in-law, Carol Smith, Barb Richards, Glenna Forsyth, Betty Lewis and Ken Lewis; and his grandson Thomas Dietterich (Hershey).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Crawford Berry of Waverly, NY; his daughter Cheryl Scaffe (Gene) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Christopher Mood (Savannah) of Coleman, WI, Geoffrey Mood (Sondra) of Lynn Haven, FL and Cassie Mood of Summerville, SC; his daughter Pam Burns (Bob) of Elmira, NY; his grandchildren, Kristen Pellor (Brian) of Elmira Heights, NY and Courtney Brown (Jake) of Elmira, NY; his daughter Kim Josephs of Laguna Hills, CA; his grandchildren, Jayden and Carson Josephs of Laguna Hills, CA; his daughter Heather Scholl (Tim) of Erin, NY; his grandchildren, Andy LaRock of Colorado Springs, CO and Brittany Austin of Erin, NY.; his stepdaughter Sherry Houck (Dave) of Erin, NY; his stepgrandchildren, Mindy Chilson (Dustin) of Erin, NY and Zachary Langan of Chesterfield, SC; his stepdaughter Wendy Dietterich (Dave) of Erin, NY.; his great grandchildren, Austin Mood, Peyton Mood, Parker Mood, Preston Mood, Jase Mood, Amari Mood, Leighton Pellor, Cambreigh Brown and Oliver Chilson; his pets, Shelby and Stinky Miller; his siblings, Clint Berry (Jane) of Horseheads, NY, Lesley Grimes of Reno, NV, Lynne Grimes of Willits, CA and Sharon; and his brother-in-law Roger Smith. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
