He was predeceased by: his parents, James Chilson and Anna Mae Chilson; his brothers, William Chilson, Donald Chilson, James Chilson and David Chilson; his mother-in-law Ida Ameigh; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hartford and Joseph Ameigh; his grandson Rylee Brion-Chilson; and his niece Carey Ellis-Carins.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Chilson (Ameigh); his children, Robert Chilson (Katie Brion) of Athens, PA, Josh Chilson, Megan Chilson and Merranda Chilson of Elmira; his father-in-law Lynn Ameigh Jr.; his siblings, Paul Chilson (Beverly) of Monroeton, PA, Harold Chilson of Sayre and Anna Mae Ellis of Summerfield, FL; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Hartford of North Carolina, Jim Ameigh of Beaver Dams, Susan Farr of Hector and Marian Ameigh of Watkins Glen. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
