He was predeceased by: his parents, Rush Pierce and Lucy Pierce; his sisters, Phyllis Sherwood and Geraldine Hunsinger; his brother-in-law Donald Hunsinger; his sister Beverly Allis; his brother-in-law Gene Allis; his brother Rush "Buzzy" Pierce, Jr.; his sister-in-law Beatrice Pierce; and his sister Susan Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Coral "Corky" Pierce (Bird); his children, Pamela Sague (Shawn) of Endicott, NY and Keith T. Pierce (Kristi) of Odessa, NY; his siblings, Diane Sclucha (Terry) of Owego, NY, Marcia, James Pierce (Margaret) of Candor, NY and Curt Pierce; his grandchildren, Matthew Lovelace (Jennifer), Brach Manuel (Amber), Elizabeth Manuel, Katelin Pierce and Samuel Pierce; his great grandchildren, Zander and Skylar Lovelace; and his grandchildren, Jadyn, Mariah and Christopher Barnes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
