He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franzese and Helen Franzese (Baccile); his parents-in-law, Joseph and Blanche Borzell (Karpovich); his brother Victor Franzese; his siblings-in-law, Kathryn (Borzell), Dr. Blanche Borzell and Dr. James Robertson; and his nephew Tony Fraboni.

He is survived by: his wife Angeline J. Franzese; his daughters, Dr. Christine Franzese (Michael Shoemaker-Moyle), Helen Franzese, Dr. Blanche Franzese (John-David Beuhler) and Angie B. Franzese; his grandchildren, Isadora, Aidan, Phena (Durkin), Catherine, Christine (Moyle), Lincoln and Quentin (Beuhler); his siblings, Patrick Franzese (Barbara), Vallerie Franzese and Elizabeth Franzese; his siblings-in-law, Amedeo Fraboni and Linda Franzese; his nieces and nephews, Blanche "Ta" Robertson, James Robertson (Emily Smith), Frank Fraboni (Sarah), Kathy McBride (Alan), Cindy Pierce (Brian), Liz Fraboni, Mark Franzese, Matt Franzese (Christine), Mary Easton (Rob), Michelle Simiele (Mark), Joseph Lynch (Michelle), Andrew Franzese, Adam Franzese and Nancy Franzese; and his pet Sally Ann.
